These rake boards were damaged by "Wood Bore's", more commonly known as "Bumble Bee's". They create holes in the boards, then passageways, in which they leave their young to grow (as seen below). On several occasions we have seen them enter the interior walls, destroying the internal framing of the house. Not to mention, buzzing all night long!
